Lauren Hargreaves

Lauren Hargreaves was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She went on to be a graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy where she attended their two-year program in New York City and received a Certificate of Musical Theatre. Lauren is currently based out of New York.

She has recently performed at On the Spot NYC where she sang selections from Beauty and the Beast and The Wedding Singer. Lauren also portrayed Amelia & Others in a staged reading of Dwoskin & O’Neil’s The Aviatrix in September 2021. She also sang at the Triad Theater in the ‘Songs We Love’ Cabaret directed by Tim Koch.

Before AMDA, Lauren has done shows such as High School Musical, The Music Man, as well as a 10-minute staged reading from MJ Kaufman’s play eat and you belong to us.

While in school she worked on a wide variety of roles such as Anya in Anastasia, Katherine in Newsies, Belle in Beauty and the Beast, Nellie Forbush in South Pacific, and Cathy in The Last Five Years.

Lauren is storyteller at heart and finds various avenues through which she can flex that muscle. She grew up singing, writing songs with her guitar, and having concerts in her living room using her karaoke machine she got for her 13th birthday. Her acting journey began when she was 10 and joined the cast of a play called Recollections. Lauren has training in ballet, tap, jazz, and a little bit of hip-hop. She is also well-versed in cheerleading, specifically group stunts, which she did for 7 years.
